As an association, our main objective is to support our Alma Mater ‘The Methodist Girls High School’ in Freetown, Sierra Leone as there is no doubt that what we are today, much of that has been ingrained from what we learnt at the School.
We have identified several arrears of the infrastructure that is in dire need of repair, upgrade and support.
What we have and continue to achieve:
- At present we award scholarship to 40 pupils of the school – 20 to Junior Secondary School pupils [JSS] and 20 to Senior Secondary School pupils [SSS].
- We donate tables and chairs for empty classrooms.
- hipped 3 sets of books for the library.
Provided 180 Prefect badges [ 90 for each school]. - We donate computers and teaching aids when necessary.
Prize giving / Sports day Trophies. - Donation to fix perimeter fence.
Donation to renovate Principal quarter. - We are in the process of replacing Chemistry/Physics equipment that were stolen during a break in at the school.
- Table and chair project will be ongoing until all the classrooms in the school including the staff room are fully furnished.
But it does not end there, we need the support of Old Girls and well wishers alike so that we can continue to provide much needed financial and material help to the School and students.
Please get in touch or use the Gift Aid page to make a donation towards our projects for the School.
We thank you in advance.
